Absolutely against this proposal!
Why would the Town ever consider something so ludicrous?
How is this “good for Caledon”? How does this benefit local (and commuting) residents?
20 years of millions upon millions of trucks traveling the roadways bought & paid for locally (especially those that Peel has just downloaded) will require huge “resurfacing & repairs” at likely the local tax payer’s expense!
Congestion in & out of Caledon is already becoming unbearable, so the idea of adding millions of semi trucks year round certainly isn’t going to be to Caledon’s benefit ~ only our expense!
This stinks of some developer wanting to benefit not only today, but also in the next 30 years. Why not go with a proper re-naturalization plan?
So rather than the plan for planting pastures & trees they have found a perfect solution to where to dump the fill from the 30,000 homes that the Mayors extraordinary powers have given them so that once those houses are finally finished they will be set to begin the next 30,000 homes!
Are we to “believe” that the fill is not likely to become another source of water contamination? What about the wild life that currently exists in this area? Again there is only risks to far more people & wild life that this mayor & council were elected to protect.
