It is somewhat unfathomable that this site has been held up for highly required affordable housing. Given that the site was previously used for social housing, the residential use has been in existence for decades, coexisting with the nearby shunting yards without incident. Let's move with some pace to get the eyesore of vacant and half demolished buildings rebuilt into a valued asset to the community. There are many other residential redevelopment sites also in near proximity to the shunting yards (which themselves are in a prime location for redevelopment), and also close to the Harbour West GO station, that I do hope that the Minister can see the way forward for the entire area is to embrace housing and renewal (maybe an MZO for the Shunting Yards to evolve into something more compatible with residential use)
