SoyVant Inc. welcomes the proposed regulation requiring a minimum amount of domestically produced renewable content in diesel fuel. As the proponent of a new soybean processing and biodiesel facility in Ontario, we see this regulation as a crucial first step toward levelling the playing field against subsidized U.S. imports and enabling a competitive, Ontario-based biofuels industry.

In our attached submission, we express strong support for the proposal and recommend enhancements to ensure long-term success, including a permanent domestic content requirement effective in 2029, and a gradual increase in blend mandates to 8% by 2035. These changes would secure market confidence and unlock significant economic, energy, and environmental benefits for Ontario.
