I am firmly opposed to this proposal, removing lands from one of the most popular provincial parks is not a good idea. Concentrating use in a smaller area will have detrimental impacts on remaining parkland and the environmental protections currently in place would no longer apply to removed areas--threatening the health of both the removed and remaining lands.
Parklands are important for human and environmental health, and diminishing the availability of parkland that is so close to major population centres is an attack on both.
