Piping Plovers nearly disappeared from Ontario before a small population began returning to Wasaga Beach in 2007 to breed. If we destroy their habitat, we may never see Piping Plovers back in Ontario again. proposal would:
Make it easier to hand public parkland to developers
Threaten the survival of endangered species like Piping Plovers
Destroy spaces Ontario communities rely on for recreation, connection, and climate resilience
This is more than Wasaga Beach, it’s a blueprint for privatizing Ontario’s provincial parks, piece by piece.
Stand up for Piping Plovers, defend public land, and stop the environmental rollbacks.
