The Piping Plover is another species that is critically endangered. As such it is our responsibility to ensure it has safe, secure, and reliable nesting areas. Wasaga Beach is a Protected Provincial Park, home to numerous birds, plants, and animals including the Piping Plover. We cannot change the laws in place to protect these unique natural spaces in the name of any type of commercial development. Recovery of a damaged or destroyed habitat does not happen and by protecting these natural spaces we are using nature based solutions to help fight the effects of Climate Change.
