The way to maintain/attract tourism to Wasaga Beach is by maintaining the beach and the Provincial Park. The inundation of cars and wild parties on the beach and in the town in recent years speaks to that. We do not need to attract any more by creating "tourist destinations" with shopping and amusement parks, etc.
My grandfather had a cottage at the beach and it was so nice to go and enjoy the beach without worrying about traffic and overcrowding. Wasaga thrived during that time without the need for gimmicky tourist attractions. Local businesses could thrive quie well.
I understand that we would be removing a protected environmental habitat for the Piping Plover and heaven knows how many other species of wildlife and vegetation that the Conservative government does not value.
Please leave Wasaga Beach Provincial Park alone.
