I can't help but think that turning over a provincial park to the private sector and the highest bidder would set a terrible precedent for public assets in this province. The provincial parks of Ontario are a fabulous asset for the public to enjoy leisure, recreation and nature at a reasonable cost. It also serves as a sanctuary for endangered and threatened species such as the Piping Plover. If you want to improve finances of the province and its economy, why not come up with a better idea than to destroy something that generations of Ontarians have enjoyed? Once it's gone, it will be gone for good. Much like the wildlife that inhabits parks like Wasaga Beach.
