Residents in this immediate vicinity and surrounding area would appreciate this proposal being DENIED. We are already surrounded by gravel pits with 100s of trucks daily making our roads very unsafe, not to mention the air quality and noise pollution these activities produce with no oversight or accountability by the powers that be.

Why on earth would you want to fill in lakes with (the possibility of) contaminated soil? We all know that it is virtually impossible to ensure that the entire truck load is clean fill as the entire load is not inspected/tested nor is every truck inspected. The result of this endeavour will most likely cause contamination in what could be a natural source of clean, fresh, potable water - why endanger us and the other creatures that now call this lake home? Turtles, fish, birds and other wildlife are all in danger if this proposal is allowed.

We don’t want to be dug up only to turn around and have someone else’s garbage under the alias of clean fill being dumped here. Caledon has been raped for decades and we are losing valuable agricultural land for someone else’s pocket book.

Please deny this proposal and show some respect to the residents of Caledon who have put up with this nonsense for decades.
