I oppose this proposal. The land should be kept under provincial management as we already have centralized knowledge, resources, and systems in place to most efficiently protect the environment provincially. Wasaga can work with the province on developing the land for tourism under the current system already. This proposal comes across as an attempt to circumvent environmental protections managed by the province in the name of tourism and money as well as an attempt to offload provincial responsibility.
