I am opposed to the transfer of provincial or crown lands to any municipality or business. The town has not presented a plan regarding future use of this land, and there is no guarantee that its availability to the public will be preserved at a reasonable price, or that the ecological balance and natural beauty of the area will be preserved. The sale/lease of Ontario Place to a private developer is an example of making a beautiful setting available only to the few who can afford it. What will be next? Condos in our conservation areas? The crowding of provincial parks is ample evidence of the deficit in natural spaces available to the public. Stop selling off our land!
