I am opposed to selling off parts of Ontario’s provincial parks for development. There is ample already serviced land within municipalities to accommodate new homes and businesses without having to sacrifice parts of our precious provincial parks which are for the enjoyment of all Ontarians.
In addition, this is the last remaining habitat for the endangered Piping Plover. In the last 50 years, we have seen a reduction of 70% of existing species because of development. This loss of biodiversity must be stopped as we are all connected and the ecosystem depends on biodiversity for its proper functioning.
