If the government is "protecting Ontario", it should also be protecting nature and natural areas in Ontario, as well as Ontarian's that value such things. Provincial parks should be protected in perpetuity, and wildlife like the Piping Plover should be respected and protected as well. Areas of protection should be consistently protected and not held to random changes. There must be ways to incorporate valuable natural areas in ways that are natural and of value to those that appreciate them.
