The importance of a healthy economy for Wasaga Beach and the overall Province is critical, I don't understand why it is important or required for the Province to dispose of these lands and remove them as part of the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Can't the envisioned rejuvenation of these areas not take place while still maintaining these natural features of these area in Provincial ownership and under the protection of the Provincial Parks legislation. The Province showing strong leadership here to maintain these lands is critical to their long term preservation.
Lastly, I think this proposal sets a dangerous precedent as it relates to the disposal of Provincial Park lands. It is a betrayal in my mind to the overall vision of the provincial park system to protect these lands now and in the future. Once these lands are sold, they are gone. We should have a longer term vision and protect these lands in perpetuity.
Thank you for considering my comments.
