It seems that North Caledon is under siege by the aggregate industry. Our home is situated very close to Willoughby and the current pit. The proposal to dump tons of soil is going to be a nightmare between the hoards of added trucks but also the particulate that would be released with each dumping. We constantly get a cakey film in our windows already and we’re breathing this is which is a huge health concern. Would love to see this gravel pit rehabbed into beautiful parkland or wildlife habitat—perhaps with a lovely lake filling in instead of dusty soil. Caledon residents need a break! Please!
