The decision to open a significant portion of our provincial park to development is extremely disappointing. These parks are the jewels of our province and a vital part of protecting our natural wildlife habitats and species for future generations. The munincipality has shown repeatedly that they do not care for this fact, and to allow them to bulldoze our nature preserves for the sake of a quick buck in one of our most famous parks is shameful. My family visits our provincial parks multiple times a year, wasaga included, and I am devastated to see it likely being turned into just another paved over waterfront that I will never take my kids to.
