Due to my concerns over the potential loss of irreplaceable environmentally sensitive lands and threats to endangered species, and the apparent lack of planning from the Town of Wasaga Beach beyond selling these lands off to private owners and their interest only in tourism and economic development for a FEW, I also oppose the removal of Beach Areas 1, 2 and New Wasaga from Ontario Parks and the transfer of these lands to the Town of Wasaga Beach. The beach access needs remain for public use and preservation of the species that inhabit it.
I strongly urge the Ontario Parks and the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks not to proceed with transferring park land to the Town of Wasaga Beach.
