Permits to Take Water are wrong because they prioritize corporate profit over the human right to water and ecological sustainability. Water is a public trust and should not be treated as a commodity to be bought and sold, especially when communities lack access to clean water. WATER IS A HUMAN RIGHT.
By 2030, the global demand for water will exceed supply by 40 per cent.
By 2050, seven billion people will be affected by water crises.
Also horrific is the use of plastic bottles; another nightmare for the Planet.
Water should not be bought and sold. We must stop allowing companies to buy and sell our water.
