The Ontario government has a duty to protect residents' access to water. Without clean water, life is not sustainable.

Please revisit this proposed change to permits to take water.

They should not be automatically renewed when ownership of a permit changes.

The process to review permits is important and must be subject to community review and consultation.

Sadly, clean water is not an endlessly renewable resource. Abundance is a myth especially in the light of increasing conditions of drought around the world and in North America.

Oversight of the amount of water being taken is necessary. I expect the Ontario government not to abdicate this role.

Bottling water and transporting out of the area from which it comes is now putting water access at risk. Please revisit this proposed policy change to include more oversight, not less.
