Re: Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act
The proposal to sell off parts of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park is completely unacceptable. At this time of climate change, it is imperative that governments protect green space, and look at ways to protect more natural areas than ever before. Our provincial parks and conservation areas are essential for the preservation of wildlife, endangered species, water management, flood control, sequestering of carbon, ecosystem preservation, and human recreation. Wasaga Beach is the largest fresh water beach in Ontario and needs to be preserved. It is already a very busy recreation area that is affordable for many. There is no reason to sell this land to a corporation. Protect the wildlife that live on that Wasaga Beach.
Governments need to protect all of our provincial parks and conservation areas in Ontario.
No to removing provincial park and conservation land anywhere in Ontario!
