This proposal will impact the piping plover, an endangered species that relies on the Wasaga Beach habitat. This is unacceptable. What do the biologists working in the Ontario Public Service have to say about this proposal? There must be transparency in how these proposals are being put forward. No caring government would override species protection in the name of making money. Every time a species goes extinct we lose vital connections that ensure a more stable environment and one more resistant to climate change. This is a very bad idea and I don't support it at all. You can't just go and change every piece of legislation to facilitate corporate interests. It's not moral or ethical.
