This is a truly terribly poor, short-sighted, and disrespectful idea. I was so angry when I heard about this. Seems like it’s been tried to be a deal that’s done quietly, which is sneaky and disgusting.
This is something that only a corrupt, greedy , self-serving government would do. Forget ever having your party voted back in in the next 15years if this happens. We see you.
People come from all over to see this expanse of freshwater beach, INTACT, and PROTECTED, not developed. There is lots of other land in Wasaga that could be developed without selling the beach. The beach belongs to the people of Ontario, not to developers and private lands.
