Ontario must have a science-based management plan for provincial parks and environment to ensure that we are protecting and conserving our natural spaces and the habitats of threatened animals.
These changes will directly affect currently endangered Piping Plovers. We should be committing space and funding to protect these animals and their nests - and their natural habitat.
This bill is the latest move to destroy our environment, and the animals and people that call this place home. We should instead be engaging with experts in conservation and land management to ensure the longevity of our natural spaces. We should not be adding more destruction to our province. Wasaga Beach is a vital home for endangered Ontario species, and we should protect that, not develop the land.
