The sandy beach at Wasaga is perfect nesting ground for the endangered Piping Plovers. They require protection for several weeks in June. Humans and dogs must be kept away during this time. Fencing to do this must be installed. The rest of the beach would be available for swimming and building sand castles. There are not many beaches left in Ontario that are suitable for the plovers. I ask that their safety be put ahead of dollars.
