I implore you to retain the existing boundaries of the Provincial Park in Wasaga Beach. The Piping Plover needs this habitat. Too much of the shoreline in this province and this country is in private hands. The Province must work to retain every inch of shoreline that it currently controls and endeavour to increase shoreline under its jurisdiction. Only under Provincial jurisdiction can these important habitats be retained in perpetuity for the benefit of all creatures that inhabit this planet. We must allow this land to remain under provincial control managed by provincial biologists. Protecting the Piping Plover habitat will also protect habitat for other creatures that are native to this area. If the town of Wasaga Beach desires more access to the lake, then they can purchase private property that is already unprotected, to expand their beaches.
