I am very opposed to the Ford Government's proposed legislative amendments to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006, and Historical Parks Act to support the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Tourism Enhancement Proposal.

Every year Wasaga Beach Residents and dedicated volunteers work very hard to protect the Piping Plovers during their mating, nesting and fledgling period! The fact that the Piping Plovers have very few remaining nesting grounds in Canada, let alone Ontario, the Ford Government should be applauding and supporting conservation efforts in this historic area rather than actively eroding these conservation efforts.

I am writing to express my opposition to the Ford Government's constant attacks on conservation in Ontario and these proposed legislation changes to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006.

The Ford Government should be facilitating Tourism and Conservation to continue to work together to balance both efforts rather than pitting them against each other.
