I appreciate that Ontario is experiencing a housing shortage, however, using prime beach property seems wasteful and environmentally harmful. What about all the shoreline birds? Where will they go if there are buildings in the way? Whenever I have gone up to Wasage, the beach is packed with family and friends enjoying the sand and surf already. I don't understand how making part of the area residential will help. Yes, the Nancy Island and other tourists spots could use modernization for additional draws to the area. But Wasaga is known for its naturally long freshwater shoreline first and foremost. Why mess with that?
