This legislation seeks to strip cities of the ability to make decisions that matter to them.
This legislation will not address traffic congestion, as the government's own experts have concluded. It is disingenuous legislation - not drafted in the broader public interest.
It will not make our roads safer or get more people moving. This government needs to focus on supporting active, smart and healthy ways to move around our communities.
We're a household of 5 people who rely on bikes, transit, and a car-sharing service to live our lives. We want safe and sustainable transit solutions for ourselves and our children. This legislation misses the mark completely.
