I oppose eliminating the Endangered Species Act, Bill 5. This is an important act that provides protection to many different species. As a biologist who studied speciation, the diversity of Ontario species is pivotal to maintaining the Ontario we know and love.
Eliminating the act is prioritizing industry over biodiversity, sacrificing critical habitats, fauna, and animals for short term gain and long term loss.
Without strong protections, Ontario’s ecosystem will suffer!
