This seems like an oversight of how large Ontario really is. I understand wanting to cut the budget but consolidating the LRCA which covers Northern Lake Superior with the Huron group seems not well thought out, logistically. That's an incredible distance, but moreso different ecologically because of said distance. There would be, assuming, less people doing the work but still the same amount of work so lower quality outcomes for all conservation efforts which I think is a really stupid thing to do in today's climate. The people of Northern Ontario really do care about the LRCA so seeing it amalgamated with a population so far away is extremely disappointing.
