The conservation authority boundaries are based on watershed boundaries, meaning each CA is an expert in it's local region. Developers and municipalities try to railroad development without appropriate water and wetlands considerations already. These changes would only exacerbate this issue, eliminating the hyper-local environmental expertise that's needed to inform development with the consideration of runoff and flooding. As much as funding is intended to stay the same, these changes will also impact jobs in a significant way.
