I strongly oppose shrinking the number of conservation authorities. Ontario is having a hard enough time already keeping up with necessary conservation authority work to protect and conserve vital ecosystems. We cannot risk these systems—which provide invaluable ecosystem services such as cleaning our water and air—by understaffing and consolidating. Ontario is a huge province and it needs to keep its existing conservation authorities intact so they can do this important work. Do not risk our environmental future for short term efficiencies that will not actually be efficient.
