Consolidating the Conservation Authorities in a time of biodiversity crisis - while at the same time cancelling the Endangered Species Act - because it suits your ideological bent to develop land at all costs - in a time of mass biodiversity crisis is shameful.
The health of people beyond your tenure depends on an in tact web of life. It is the members of the Conservation Authorities who are experts in the needs of the web in their local region. This is not red tape. This is basic protection of life and the diversity of life that is left in Ontario.
I am shocked by your proposal and very concerned about your lack of leadership in the biodiversity-health domain.
Further, your cutting of environmental protections should be an election issue not swept under the carpet with tiny performative consults like entering information into a box with very little public outreach.
Do better.
