This is a bad idea…

This is a bad idea. Conservation authorities are the last line of defense in an already gutted development process. And they are not even pushing aggressive decarbonization or energy efficient codes. All they are doing is making sure these very expensive buildings don't go somewhere where they are highly likely to be damaged by the unstoppable forces of nature. They are actually in service of protecting life and keeping insurance premium reasonable. It is not only ridiculous to handicap this initiative that was initiate by conservative over 80 years ago, but to serious propose that a consolidate 7 authorities could properly serve the massive and diverse needs across Ontario borders on self sabotage.
