It's incredibly obvious that this will create unsustainable workloads for Conservation Authorities, leading to a dismantling from within. Building houses on floodplains, and destroying yet ANOTHER layer of environmental protections so this government can play pretend at being "fiscally responsible", while it drowns our province. Literally, and figuratively.
When the buildings flood and collapse, when the streets are flooded because wetlands are destroyed (which are the best way to prevent floods), when our water is poisoned by this governments rich friends (AI data centers, pesticide use, habitat loss, etc) - don't blame anyone else other than this government and the ones before who think that environmental protections come secondary to economic growth, when the economy and civilization CANNOT exist without a healthy Earth.
To this government; Blame no one but yourselves, when people lose their homes and their communities because of the choices you have made.
