Hello. I am strongly against the consolidation of the 36 regional conservation areas into 7 agencies. These areas provide important habitat for native species, act as systems of flood control and air purification, in addition to the recreation and tourism value they have. By widening the scope of each agency, they will be unable to understand and meet the needs of each area and the ways they need to be protected. Each of the existing 36 regions have their own challenges and goals, which 7 agencies would not be equipped to deal with.
