I oppose Bill 60 because it will increase homelessness which is already at a crisis level. Making it easier for landlords to raise rents and evict people is the opposite of what is needed.
I oppose Bill 60 because it undermines the ability of municipal governments to improve road safety, reduce congestion, reduce pollution and climate change, and improve public health. Road congestion cannot be reduced by restricting the ability of cities to provide bike lanes and express lanes for buses. Cars are not the only legitimate form of transportation and prioritizing them will aggravate the congestion they cause. Every person who uses a bike or transit for transportation is a person who has chosen not to drive a car. Prioritizing other forms of transportation will reduce the number of cars on the road.
Bill 60 is the opposite of what our Province needs. It will make life worse for Ontario residents.
