I am a Torontonian who cycles daily as my main form of commuting and I am incredibly frustrated and scared for my safety if this bill passes. Bike lanes are shown time and time again to make roads safer for all users. This government is plainly lying when they say that this will improve gridlock or reduce delays for cars. Not only will that not happen (increased lanes get filled by induced demand), cyclists will be injured and or killed by the loss of safe biking infrastructure.
