Leave our conservations…

Leave our conservations alone. This is ridiculous. I’ve volunteered with conservations in Ontario and they’re well maintained by knowledgeable and hard working people. Taking the power away from the people who are there daily, working hands on in these spaces and understand the ecosystems and putting it into a bureaucratic authority endangers the unique balances and systems and protections we have in place. Each conservation authority has unique requirements and the importance of maintaining Ontario for generations to come should NOT be affected by short term budget fixes. I do not trust the Ontario government to make this change, especially not under Ford. This is ridiculous and unnecessary.
