I strongly oppose the proposed regional consolidation of Ontario’s conservation authorities. This proposal appears to be poorly thought out and lacks an understanding of how watershed management actually works. Consolidation would weaken local expertise, reduce effectiveness, and create more problems than it solves. The Ministry should reconsider this plan and educate itself on the environmental impacts before proceeding.
