From what I can see, there are exactly ZERO benefits that would come from consolidating 36 local conservation authorities into 7 regional conservation authorities. This proposal will weaken relationships with local communities and stakeholders while increasing suspicion and discontent amongst Ontarians. Nobody who actually cares about the environment wants this, which leaves me questioning why it was brought forth in the first place. Just kidding, we all know why: so greedy developers can pillage even more of our green spaces. This is a disaster waiting to happen, not only in regards to flooding, but any number of negative environmental consequences that will harm communities while a select few individuals profit. NO to ERO 025-1257.
