People in this province have worked for years to restore and protect our natural areas. We as Canadians and Ontarians pride ourselves on our beautiful conservation spaces. These spaces are only beautiful because they are so meticulously maintained by our conservation authorities. Reducing those individual authorities into one large group will cause specialized knowledge about specific habitats to be lost, and will be a detriment to our natural spaces.
Could this government, instead of governing like a toddler, by plowing ahead and asking for forgiveness later, could you please just listen to your constituents and the specialists on this topic, and not amalgamate these authorities, and show that our green spaces are more important than profit.
