Why on earth are you wanting to change a system that already works? Conservation authorities have unique needs by geographic location and those who work within them become experts in the biosphere in which they are located. Expanding and consolidating these to include areas that are not geographically or ecologically the same is a callus waste of tax dollars. This is not a wise use of environmental tax dollars. Investing the same amount of money that is being wasted on this squanderous initiative to educate, protect and improve the existing conservation authorities is more appropriate and strategically sound. It is deplorable that this government continues to frivolously waste funds on unnecessary changes to systems that are already functioning well. This is a terrible idea.
