The LRCA in the thunderbay district and beyond has been governing our conservation lands for over 70 years extremely competently and effectively. This area is unique to southern ontario conservation lands and has specialized wetland concerns. The LRCA should not be conglomerated with conservation authorities in southern ontario. This means the body governing our areas would be almost 1000km away and not connected to our unique needs in the northwest. Thunder bay is very geographically different than much of southern ontario and would not be effectively governed by a remote organization. It would be for the best interests of northern ontarians aswell as the land that the LRCA remains the governing body for our conservation lands.
