A local small watershed conservation authority is so important because it helps protect the natural spaces we rely on every day, our streams, wetlands, and the water that flows through our communities.
As a teacher within the basin, I utilize their experience, kand and resources to teach my students.
Plus, having people who live and work right here involved in caring for our watershed builds a strong sense of community.
I would hate to see everything conglomerate into large management firms without touch to what is happening locally.
