As a homeowner on NPCA-regulated land, I’m strongly opposed to the proposed amalgamation of Ontario’s conservation authorities
NPCA understands the specific environmental conditions, flood risks, and ecological pressures within our watershed. This knowledge cannot be replaced by a centralized conservation authority.
This proposed one-size-fits-all approach risks would overlook Ontario’s sensitive habitats and distance conservation authorities from the local communities they serve.
I strongly believe that our current conservation authority structure must be preserved.
