I stand with the Lakehead regional conservation authority and oppose the merger with southern Ontario conservation authorities.
We have unique needs in the north and our LRCA has served us well for the past 70 years. They are a strong group, fully engaged with our community and well respected and supported by our community. I’m sure I am not even aware of all that they do- but I have appreciated their community education initiatives, flood alerts, trail systems, and nature preserves.
I would hate to lose this talented group of local people who have our best interest in mind.
