The conservation authorities were created to protect people and infrastructure. Consolidating them will lessen their ability to keep working on a localized watershed scale where the employees are familiar with their entire watershed and can make sound, informed decisions. With increased population pressure on our natural resources, sustainable development is critical to the resources that support us , for our safety into the future, and to create nature connection opportunities for our children and communities alike. Do not change these boundaries determined by nature. They are just as important today as they were when they were designated after hurricane Hazel. Work WITH the conservation authorities to make informed, sound decisions so Ontario's infrastructure has integrity.
