I am concerned my merging the conservation authorities into larger ones that the local nuances of each geographical area will be lost. As larger centers manage bigger areas the smaller more rural environmental area concerns will not be monitored or addressed in a timely way. I have seen this time and time again as small rural areas have been merged with larger more urban areas and local needs have literally been swallowed up. There is less and less local input into these areas with these large mergers and true environmental gems are lost. These local conservation areas are wonderful places for people to be engaged and involved with promotion of conservation. I am concerned that input and access to them locally would be lost
