I think this is a bad idea and should not be passed. The current smaller boundaries and greater number of conservation authorities means that the land each authority protects is being conserved by locals who care about the area. Larger boundaries would mean the conservation is less localized and more unethical and improper development will be allowed on vital natural habitats and natural ecosystems. The best thing we can do to “improve” the current system would be to consult more often with local indigenous communities and include those who have a deep understanding of the local environment on how to conserve it.
